The Final of the Major Fours Championship was played last week. Peter Dillon, Dennis Maggs, Les Waldock and Greg Ryan (skip) played Russell Burke, Justin Bennett, Keith Pickett and John Breust (skip). John and his team played top bowls from the start and after 11 ends they had raced out to a 16 to 3 lead. They continued their form to lead 22 to 3 after 14 ends before Greg and his team started to fire and they came back strongly to pick up some consecutive ends to narrow the score but John and his team had done the hard work early and they ran out 24 to 15 winners. Congratulations to Russell, Justin, Keith and John on becoming the 2024/25 Major Fours Champions and well done to Peter, Dennis, Les and Greg for making the Final a game with lots of excellent bowls being played.
