Narooma Bowls - 7 April

Wednesday 2 April

There were 8 rinks of triples on Wednesday with winners decided by Highest Winning Score.  We had double points on ends 5 and 14.

Winners were Olwyn Mayer, Pat Barklem and Barry Lymbery (skip) who won both double ends as they led 9 to 5 after 6 ends and then put some good ends together as they extended their margin to win the match 34 to 14 against Don Caldwell, Greg Riley and Terry Lewis (skip).

Second place went to Peter James, Mark Bartrop and Mitch Mitchell (skip) who also won both bonus ends as they moved out from leading 11 to 6 after 8 ends to win their match 30 to 9 against Heather McGourty, Jeff McCusker and Garry Burke (skip).

Open Consistency Singles

The first round matches of the Consistency began this week. Gavin Richardson played Peter Dillon and after sharing the 1st 3 ends Peter got out to a 12 point lead after 7 ends but Gavin came back to square the match 45 all after 9 ends.  Peter got away again to lead 64 to 56 after 12 ends when rain, briefly, halted play.

Gavin came out strongly, after the break, to take 5 of the last 7 ends to win the match 104 to 86.
